Working within a small team, you will manage the order and distribution (via cold chain) of Shire's biologics sold across Europe and beyond. This is an exciting and challenging position within a fast growing global company. Key Responsibilities *Manage the order process from incoming order to delivery in a quickly and efficient manner in order to meet customer requirements. *Perform ERP Sales Order Processing transactions to create, confirm, track and monitor shipments. *Work closely with Commercial Operations to review and understand country specific requirements securing an efficient Sales Order Processing. *Coordinate the distribution/logistics of commercial COLD CHAIN shipments and track their progress as they are in route throughout the world. Ensuring the drug product arrives safely to their final destination on time and within temperature specifications. *Establish new and/or review current distribution networks/brokers that will minimize the time in transit. *Plan and track contract manufacturing, packaging, release and shipping activities for adherence to agreed lead times and schedules, and work with the appropriate departments to expedite activities and coordinate shipments as needed. *Work closely with the Quality department to assist with lot release planning per predetermined lead times and coordinate with Commercial distribution schedules. *Manage and administer the supply of packaging material with internal and external groups. *Perform lot allocations and labelling instructions to CMO's. *Identify and manage impact of product launches on distributor's operations, including field inventory. *Perform cycle counting. *Communicate issues and delays to appropriate groups and facilitate resolution as required *Create and implement Supply Chain SOP's ensuring compliance with cGMP's, SOX, IATA and country specific regulations. *Analyze inventory and distribution information. *Create and maintain metrics on supply chain operation. Education and Experience Requirements *cGMP experience, preferably in a cold chain distribution and finished goods management in both commercial and clinical environment. *Experience with International Shipments. *Experience working with an ERP system and performing inventory and sales order processing transactions. *Demonstrated understanding of supply chain management and logistics in a complex distribution environment. *Background in planning new product introductions and inventory management. *Experience with labelling and packaging biologic/pharmaceutical product. *Effective analytical and project management skills with demonstrated success in problem solving. *Ability to write SOPs and interact with our Quality department. *Strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills. *Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. *Fluency in other EU languages preferred. *APICS certified preferred. *Some travel will be required as part of this position.
