Supply Chain Analyst

This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

The Supply Chain Analyst provides the necessary analysis and reporting on key Site and Supply Chain performance, for instance MOFR, SCOP, Inventory, Distressed Inventory, MUV and SRV. Lead and coordinate periodic Supply Chain processes, for instance Batch Size Review, Dating Guarantee Review, Router Lead-Time Review, Yield Review Batch Planning Sheet Review, S&OP. Support continuous improvement of Supply Chain parameters, for instance Inventory, Distressed Inventory Cycle-Time.

  • Prepare SCOP and inventory forecasts in support of annual plan/update process, identify key plus/minus issues for inclusion in plan/update SCOP and inventory submissions and generate lower level detailed analysis to support and justify the budget submissions.
  • Monitor SCOP and inventory plan achievement, analyze performance variations from plan, provide commentary and recommend corrective actions.
  • Complete and submit monthly inventory actual versus budget analysis including commentary on performance variations from plan/update.
  • Provide an analysis to calculate the year-end SRV. Track any changes that may affect the final actual SRV and recommend actions to bring within plan.
  • Act as the department's key contact for cost related master file data.
  • Provide KPI reports (scorecard), i.e. for MOFR, DI, SCOP, inventory, shipments, work centre schedule compliance, rough cut capacity planning and cycle time.
  • Lead and coordinate site S&OP process.
  • Ensure effective management of work centres, routings and related times in the inventory control system.
  • Coordinate periodic processes such as to maintain accuracy of batch sizes, yields, minimal dating, etc. in inventory control system and supporting files such as Batch Planning Sheets.
  • Monitor (EDP) forecast, analyze any changes that may affect the plan/update achievement, including MDO exposure, provide commentary and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain the Supply Chain control plan for Distressed Inventory Reduction and Prevention.
  • Analyze distressed inventory performance and performance variations from plan and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure execution of distressed inventory control plans through direct involvement in key activities such as review of DIA packages (to maintain consistency of classification and to identify opportunity for improvement), chair DIRB meetings, maintain salvage strategy/ guideline, maintenance of fixed/variable yields/losses in ICS and BPS.
  • Provide periodic (e.g. weekly and/or monthly) reports to highlight significant DIA packages or DI trends increase awareness at the site and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as the department's key contact for distressed inventory activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure activities are performed in compliance with quality system procedures including the maintenance of quality records.
  • Ensure all actions and job tasks are performed taking full account of the health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain high standards in housekeeping GMP and safety.
  • Ensure safety standards and safety working practices are adhered to.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The position will require communication with the following:

  • All levels of management within the plant.
  • Various departments involved in the management and control of Inventory, Distressed Inventory, SCOP, MOFR, MUV, SRV, Batch Sizes, Yields, Cycle-Time.
  • Abbott personnel in other affiliates especially in IT, Finance and/or Supply Chain functions.
  • Appropriate qualification in either Production Planning / Purchasing e.g. Diploma in Purchasing or relevant APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) examinations.

  • General Degree with relevant Planning and Finance experience
