Shipping Co-ordinator

Team: Business Services – (Logistics)

Reporting to: Head of Logistics, Roche Ireland

Role:

Carry out shipping co-ordination duties ensuring customer demands are met

Carry out purchasing activities for shipping services and consumable items including management of Logistics Procurement card system.

Responsibilities include:
    • Liaising with & updating customers (Production, QC, QA also Basel & other Roche sites) regarding requirements, shipping plan &/or freight changes on a weekly basis
    • Carry out shipping & delivery processes, including preparation, scheduling, documentation etc. in line with defined shipping procedures and regulatory needs and co-ordinate weekly shipping meeting
    • Process shipping invoices, maintain & process manual orders & orders on SAP
    • Maintain shipping procedures and SOP’s in line with changing EH&S, Quality, customer requirements.
    • Compile monthly Key Performance Indicator (OTIFAU)
    • Carry out purchasing of consumable items, stationery etc.
    • Management of Logistics SOP’s/policies, including the management of Condor system and reporting of progress on a monthly basis
    Qualifications/Experience
    • Leaving Certificate with Diploma/Cert in relevant business area
    • Experience in shipping co-ordination/processes
    • High level of skills in Microsoft office packages essential, SAP experience desirable
    • Certification in various regulations involving transport of dangerous goods would be an advantage, IMDG, ADR, IATA
