We are now interested in reviewing Applications for a Procurement Specialst to work at our state of the art facility in Cork, Ireland. This is a new position in the department due to sizable growth of our product range. JOB PURPOSE: Perform Supplier Management activities, including the sourcing of production and non-production materials such that Boston Scientific and its suppliers develop compliant continuous competitive advantages for Boston Scientific. · Aligning Suppliers strategies with Plant & Corporate objectives and targets. · Assessing Risk in Supply Base and leading mitigation actions. · Driving down cost with Suppliers through RFQ process. · Negotiating competitive cost with suppliers. Develop and execute measurement tools to accurately gauge supplier performance (quality, delivery, etc.) and communicate results internally and externally as necessary Project managing / assignments /New Product introductions / Continuous improvement / Supplier selection / negotiation / contract review/ as assigned. Drive performance on key performance parameters including PPV and VIP. Perform other tasks as needed in support to achieving the highest level of compliance, customer satisfaction at an optimum cost. Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Minimum of Bachelor of Business Studies Minimum of 2 years relevant experience and ideally 4/5 years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent with direct experience in Procurement. Experience Dealing with Third Party Vendors on commercial activities. Ability to effectively present projects, status, etc. Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage Strong leadership skills and the ability to make effective decisions. Excellent problem solver. Excellent communications ability and Project Management skills. Strong analytical skills to make quantitative
