Process Planner - [ Longford ]

Primary Objectives:
You will ensure both product availability and efficiency of manufacturing operations through effective management of available capacity while ensuring cost and quality compliance

Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely flow of production and achieve compliance to start and finish in respective area. Clear items from the critical path impacting production.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives with the Value Stream Group focusing on adding value and eliminating waste where possible.
- Agree and manage monthly SCOP and Absorb targets with Master Scheduler and Production Controller and ensure the LBE is met without impacting customer requirements.
- Understanding each of the Scheduling anomalies linked to every Product within the Portfolio from start to finish.
- As an SME you must provide direction to all of the special instructions and lot-notes provided within each product.
- Ensure on time delivery of the customer order by ensuring the on time execution of all S/O within your Portfolio from Solutions through to Kitpack while focusing on key cost drivers.
- Work with the Production Controller on daily priorities and weekly customer changes within the 4-week window.
- Ensure cost effective coordination of Quality, Technical Support, Manufacturing and Warehouse resources to meet customer demands.
- Ensure compliance to applicable quality requirements.
- Maintain ETMS to do list.
- Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws, as well as the Abbott Global & Technical Standards.
- Tracking production stages of assigned projects and reporting the status at team meetings and to Production Department Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate is likely to have:
- Excellent knowledge of computer applications especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and MSWord.
- Advanced organisational and attention to detail skills.
- The ability to work co-operatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- The highest levels of integrity in the successful completion of your work.
- The ability to use your initiative, while adhering to a quality system.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance and performance record is a pre-requisite for this position.
