Materials Manager (AppleCare)
Overview
This is a key role in the Service Supply Chain team, and requires a person of drive, Intellect and passion to succeed.
The key areas are around strong Planning knowledge, good Understanding of the Vendor base, focused Systems and Logistics /reverse Logistics Knowledge. Key Objectives
• Manage all aspects of Order fulfillment and meet agreed KPI’s.
• Set Goals and adhere to Inventory Turns on a quarterly basis. • Manage all aspects of Planning, Procurement, Forecast & Inv Mgt . • Responsible for the purchase of New Buy and Repair SKU’s, and other support items. • Ensure controls are in place to manage all elements of the tactical Procurement process. • Key interface between Logistics and Service. • Meet and exceed regional KPI’s • Key interface for EMEA involvement for Projects local and Global . • Manage all Spend goals • All Business related information will be managed through R3/APO. Responsibilities:
• Ensure total inventory levels are within the Company’s corporate targets
• Ensure a very high level of CSAT fill rate • Day-to-day Management and support of the Planning and Buying teams • Ensure full Integrity of PO orderbooks. • Ensure that proper measures are in place to ensure the health and safety of employees • Work with Customers and Suppliers to reduce inventory levels in the total Management Supply Chain • Ensure that the GSSC process has a continuous supply of material to meet our in house targets as well as meeting the needs of our Customers • Ensure status of material availability commodity is available to internal departments and customers as required. • Develop departmental procedures to meet the changing needs of the business and external certifications. • Meet and exceed GSSC metrics • Drive S&OP process Measurements
• Customer Service TAT
• Total inventory value/TURNS • KBB IW & OOW velocity. • Excess and Obsolete Inventory as a percentage of total inventory • Core Metrics indicators. • Supplybase Management (VMI,EDI,SUPPLYCHAIN SOLUTIONS) • MRP Performance • Supplier Performance • Warranty Redemption • MRB material value as a % of total inventory. • PPV Management • New buy V’s Repair spend • Staff development & training Experience & Education
• Third level qualification in Business, with membership of IIPMM or APICS qualification. • At least 5 years experience of increasing responsibility in a materials / distribution / purchasing management role. • Through knowledge of Customs regulations • Strong user of SAP/APO Personal Skills • Strong Leadership Capabilities
• Ability to bring about continuous improvements in processes and procedures • Proven ability to manage and improve the performance of a diverse team.
