Logistics Coordinator
The role of Logistics Coordinator will be to support Spare Parts Logistics within the European distribution network (EAM). The primary focus of this position will be, but not limited to, facilitating the daily flow of spare parts to and from the Regional and Forward Distribution Centers to Field Service Engineers and the return of defective RMA parts back through the network to AMO, Milpitas, CA.,USA, Depot Repair Center and provide escalation support the Distributor Support Specialist (DSS).
These duties shall be handled through an order exception process relevant to spare parts order shipments supporting the EAM field service organization and Distributors. Order exception handling will include reconciliation of electronic data interface (EDI) error messages; order changes, re-allocation and cancellation; back order management; and escalations for critical service situations and non-FRU exceptions.
This position will also act as a liaison between Technical Support, Field Support, Distributor Support, Global Spares Logistics and Third-Party Logistics providers. The Logistics Coordinator will also liaise with local database administration (DBA) group to facilitate the setup and/or change for new/current materials within the EAM.
The Logistics Coordinator will have reporting responsibilities for open orders, goods in transit and various inventory reports as required.
Special projects, as determined by Technical Support and/or Service Logistics management, will be assigned as needed.
Key duties & responsibilities:
• Manage Order Exception Handling Process - 40% - EDI / PIP error corrections - Order Changes/Cancellations - Backorder Mgt - Non-FRU Escalations • Drive Urgent Escalation Mgt (System Down) - 25% • Serve as 3PL Liaison - DHL/ Hegele interface - 10% • Maintain Reporting - Open orders, Inventory, Goods and Transit - 20% • Liaision w/DBA - plant setup, new parts extension, etc. - 5% Skills and Experiance:
Education: BA/BS OR equivalent experience Experience: 3 yrs minimum in Logistics & Distribution Technical Skills: SAP, Excel, MS Apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), EDI + Other: Strong English communication and customer service skills; must work well cross-functionally; ability to multi-task and creatively problem solve; understanding of import/customs clearance processes +; Other European language +
