Logistics and Supply Chain management for many different technical groups responsible for the technical support of Google's products, systems and IT infrastructure.

The role: European Logistics Operations Manager - EU Headquarters

Google is looking to hire a team manager responsible for building and leading support of all logistical requirements for the Engineering Operations group across Europe as well as expanding our global deployment supply chain.

Vendor management, shipping and logistics, import and export compliance, and inventory management are only a small part of the responsibilities for this
position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day logistic operations for Europe.
  
• Ensures metrics are in place to measure effectiveness of operations both from service level and cost.
  
• Works on projects with internal cross functional teams from finance, operations and foreign trade to provide increased capabilities or more effective use of assets.
  
• Serves as an escalation point between Google and external partners to ensure prompt resolution issues.
  
• Works closely with vendors to provide guidance on continuous improvement programs and drives programs to completion.

• Relevant degree level qualification acceptable, MBA / MSc preferred.
  
• Extensive experience of inventory management, purchasing, logistics, global shipping, import/export compliance for the movement of technical hardware.
  
• Operations management experience for both internal Logistics groups and Vendors (3PL).
  
• Demonstrate strong abilities in Project and Budget management + presentation, problem solving and analytical skills.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (ideally with a additional European languages).
  
• Valid EU work authorisation.
