Buyer Planner

Buyer/Planner - Moulding Dept, Abbott Nutrition, Ballytivnan, ligo.

As Moulding Buyer/Planner you will be responsible for purchasing and planning for both Moulding and Extrusion areas meeting all department goals.

Duties and Responsibilities: -Preparation of weekly moulding and extrusion machine schedule; ensuring production runs are maximized thus achieving maximum efficiency and achieving inventory goals.-Cycle counting of raw materials and moulded/extruded products at regular intervals and insuring relevant reconciliation's are completed. Investigate reasons for discrepancies and report findings. Complete moulding/extrusion department capacity analysis and update as necessary.-Maintain close liaison and co-operation with all other departments, affiliates and personnel in order to optimise customer requirements and plant operations.- Manage effectively the operating supplies budget, the purchasing function, work orders and material/labour within the moulding department. Also contribute to achieving department CIP's.-Manage and identify initiatives in reducing department waste.-Ensure execution of activities in compliance with ANI procedures and policies.-Ensure Environmental Health & Safety standards are met and all EHS regulations and procedures are adhered to.-Initiate and issue daily Production Monitoring, Cycle and Cavitation reports.
-Foster a culture of continuous improvement through active deployment and participation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

You will have demonstrated:-Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel-The ability to work co-operatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships.-The highest levels of integrity in the successful completion of your work.-Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
