The role: Working as part of a team responsible for all purchasing within Europe, this role would suit a procurement professional with experience in negotiation and vendor management, contract drafting & revision. Key areas of responsibility : - Qualify, select and manage suppliers in line with policy. Manage the solicitation process (e.g. Request for Information, Request for Proposal/Quotation). Negotiate business terms and conditions. - Assist in the production of strategic sourcing strategies that ensures best value, effectively partnering with corporate purchasing counterparts to assist and/or lead the implementation and management of strategic sourcing strategies and supplier agreements that maximize the business benefits within the group services categories - Monitor supplier market profiles to identify opportunities within the marketplace, and establish and maintain preferred supplier lists, corporate contracts, and framework agreements - Effectively communicate oral and written resolution of issues with all internal and external partners, and effectively apply established procedures, policies, and standards with minimal supervision - Support implementation of Procurement Systems (SAP R3 & mySAP Enterprise Buyer) - Proactively identify opportunities for sourcing and cost savings and show continual cost reduction in managed commodity base over time Requirements Procurement professional with several years experience with fluent French in addition to: - the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, co-workers, and internal clients while always demonstrating the highest ethical standards. - team-oriented individual who is willing to work on concurrent activities, help out team members when needed, and willing to take direction with the goal of continuing to learn and grow in the procurement field. - experience drafting, editing and reviewing contract agreement terms is desired. - Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and good working knowledge of SAP (or similar system). - Commitment to continuous improvement and positive ‘can-do’ attitude - Excellent negotiation skills. - Third level degree in business or a related discipline will be a distinct advantage.
