Implementing Green Procurement - Policy and Procedure
Check for Available Dates >>
Course Outline:
Environmentaly sound procurement is an issue for purchasing professionals that is fast moving up their priority list. Some companies devote considerable resources to environmental "policing" and for others it is little more than a token gesture.
While Green procurement does not aim to re-write the book on procurement, it merely seeks to add an environmental dimension to the decision-making process. The standard purchasing criteria, of price, quality and deliverabilty, remain paramount. The environmental impact of a goods or services procured can be seen as part of the "quality" criterion while also adding financial value to the finished output of any organisation.
