Position
Summary:
Development and management of internal and external
relationships ensuring effective communication of plans, activities and
issues with team and vendors/customers.

Principle
Responsibilities:
1.1
Co-ordinate the daily tasks of materials department to
include, purchasing, scheduling, inventory management, freight management,
vendor development and quoting/sampling activity.
1.2
Manage supplier accounts, including price negotiation, purchasing,
expediting and inventory management.
1.3
Pro-actively manage supply chain activities that impact
upon continuity of supply.
1.4
Manage customer accounts by scheduling the required
product to meet customer requirements.
1.5
Provide efficient and effective logistics services to
key customers/markets.
1.6
Manage all freight contracts on inbound, outbound and
subcontracted warehousing services, identifying and introducing cost
savings.
1.7
Monitor key performance indicators within the materials
department ensuring agreed objectives are met.
1.8
Identify and implement best practice models throughout
the materials department.
1.9
Ensure inventory levels provide the most cost effective
service for the company.
1.10
Provide a framework within which the members of the department can
support the overall business in the most effective manner.
1.11 Compile monthly metric
reports and ensure timely and appropriate distribution.
1.12 Carry out projects and
duties as assigned by your manager in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner.

Education
/ Experience
2.1
Educated to degree level
with a proven track record within materials/supply chain logistics
functions in a demanding manufacturing environment.
2.2
Supervisory experience in high-pressure environment.
2.3
Fluent English and
preferably German.
2.4
Excellent systems expertise
(MRP).
